Dr. Boye Schnack Nielsen is the Business and Research Manager of the Molecular Histology unit at Bioneer A/S, Hørsholm, Denmark. He developed a double fluorescence assay on paraffin samples combining LNA™-based microRNA in situ hybridization (ISH) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) and demonstrated its application using miR-21 as an example (Nielsen and Holmstrøm, 2013).
