At Exiqon Diagnostics, we know that each patient's cancer presents the physician with a complex puzzle as unique as the human fingerprint. An elaborate network of oncogenes, tumor suppressor genes, growth factors, growth factor receptors and signal transduction mechanisms lead to uncontrolled proliferation of the cancer cell. We utilize the experience and expertise of highly trained scientists and physicians to provide cancer-treating doctors with a "window" into the cancer cell, looking at each patient's cancer as a distinct entity.
Exiqon Diagnostics offers a full line of laboratory tests designed to provide information that can be used to tailor treatment to the individual patient's cancer, based on the unique biological and genetic properties of the malignant cells obtained from the patient. This information enables physicians to stratify individual patients into good or poor prognostic groups, and to avoid the use of specific chemotherapy agents to which the patient's tumor is resistant.
