AQ-Link™ Microplates

Anthraquinone (AQ)-linked microplates for covalent coupling of biotinylated molecules, proteins and peptides and for detection of histidine-tagged and GST fusion proteins.

Exiqon's unique proprietary surface chemistry has been applied in the manufacturing process of the Immobilizer™ microplates and strips. The Immobilizer™ series of microplates are produced at Nunc (www.nuncbrand.com ) under license from Exiqon A/S and are marketed under the name "Immobilizer™". Please contact Nunc for any specific information regarding these products.

The Immobilizer™ series of microplates consist of the following products:

Streptavidin Immobilizer™ microplates and strips

This product is used for covalent coupling of biotinylated molecules.
Streptavidin is covalently attached to the wells of the plates and strips, and will bind biotinylated molecules with very high sensitivity and specificity via a simple one step protocol. No blocking steps are required. Assays conducted on the Streptavidin Immobilizer™ microplates and strips are characterized by high signal to noise ratios, and high reproducibility.

The Streptavidin Immobilizer™ plates and strips are available in either transparent, white opaque, or black polystyrene, optimized for solid phase colorimetric, bio- or chemi-luminescence, and fluorescence assays, respectively.

Streptavidin Immobilizer™ microplates and strips provide:
  • Excellent binding capacity of small biotinylated ligands
  • Superior signal to noise ratio
  • Highly reproducible results
  • Minimal surface leaching
  • No blocking steps
  • Long term stability at room temperature
  • Easy coupling protocol

Glutathione Immobilizer™ microplates and strips

This product is used for the detection of GST fusion proteins.
Glutathione is covalently attached to the wells of the plates and strips, and will bind GST-tagged fusion proteins with very high sensitivity and specificity via a simple one step protocol. No blocking steps are required. Assays conducted on the Glutathione Immobilizer™ microplates and strips are characterized by high reproducibility and result in a high signal to noise ratio.

The Glutathione Immobilizer™ plates and strips are available in either transparent, white opaque, or black polystyrene, optimized for solid phase colorimetric, bio- or chemi-luminescence, and fluorescence assays, respectively.

Glutathione Immobilizer™ microplates and strips provide:
  • Instant coupling of GST-tagged fusion proteins
  • Ready to use – no activation steps or blocking steps
  • Low detection limit
  • Low background noise
  • High signal to noise ratios
  • Stable at room temperature

Nickel-chelate Immobilizer™ microplates and strips

This product is used for detection of histidine-tagged proteins.
Nickel-chelate is covalently attached to the wells of the plates and strips, and will bind histidine-tagged proteins with very high affinity via a simple protocol. The binding of the histidine-tagged proteins on the Nickel-chelate Immobilizer™ microplates and strips is characterized by high signal to noise ratios and high reproducibility.

Nickel-chelate Immobilizer™ microplates and strips provide:
  • Stable binding of histidine-tagged proteins
  • Superior signal to noise ratio
  • Highly reproducible results
  • Minimal surface leaching
  • Low detection limit
  • Long term stability at room temperature
  • Easy, simple coupling protocol

Protein/Peptide Immobilizer™ microplates and strips

This product is used for covalent attachment of proteins and peptides.
The Protein/Peptide Immobilizer™ plates and strips are manufactured using Exiqon's patented method for covalent coupling of ligands to polymer materials. The surface chemistry enables very fast, uniform and robust, covalent coupling of free amines, thiols or hydroxyl-groups onto the microplate wells.

The one-step coupling protocol is extremely simple and easy to perform and the surface characteristics are optimized for various types of protein/peptide based immunoassays.

The Protein/Peptide Immobilizer™ plates and strips are available in either transparent, white opaque, or black polystyrene, optimized for solid phase colorimetric, bio- or chemi-luminescence, and fluorescence assays, respectively.

Protein/Peptide Immobilizer™ microplates and strips provide:
  • Instant covalent coupling of proteins/peptides
  • Instant covalent coupling of proteins, including enzymes, antibodies and antigens
  • Ready to use – no activation steps or blocking steps
  • Possible to control orientation of peptide molecule
  • Low reagent consumption
  • High signal to noise ratio
  • Short assay time
  • Reproducible results
