Figure 6. The miRCURY™ LNA microRNA Array platform generates highly reproducible results
In order to assess the technical reproducibility of our platform the following experiments were repeated on two separate days. Total RNA from lung and brain was labeled in 10 separate reactions with Hy3™ and Hy5™, respectively. Pairs of labeled lung and brain RNA were hybridized on 10 arrays. The arrays were scanned and Image analysis was performed to quantify the signals for each capture probe. Correlation coefficients for Hy3™ and Hy5™ signals (raw data) were calculated for all possible combination of pairs among the 20 arrays. The overall average correlation coefficient for all signals was R2 = 0,988. Hy5™/Hy3™ ratios between the arrays were also very reproducible with an average correlation coefficient of R2 = 0,987. The average relative standard deviation of signals between arrays was RSD = 8.9%.

An example of the high correlation between Hy3™ signals on two arrays from the experiment is shown in the figure above.
