Detection limit of miRCURY LNA™ capture probes. This graph shows the percentage of capture probes that detect a given amount of synthetic microRNA. More than 90% of the capture probes detect 10 amol or less. More than 50% of the capture probes detect 1 amol or less. Experimental setup: 705 synthetic microRNAs were labeled at 8 different concentrations in a background of 0.75µg tRNA and were then hybridized to the array. Slopes were generated for all microRNAs, and the detection limit was defined as a signal >5x standard deviation from background.
