Features

The A2-Quencher is Exiqon’s novel proprietary dark quencher with no native fluorescence, thus eliminating any interference from background signals as can be seen when using e.g., TAMRA™. The A2-quencher is used in the Universal ProbeLibrary real-time PCR probes.

The A2-Quencher has been specially designed to provide excellent spectral overlap over reporter fluorophores like FAM/FITC and HEX (Figure 1).

The A2-quencher is available as a phosphoramidite and can be placed in the 5’-end, 3’-end or internally using the DMT-labeled A2-quencher phosphoramidite. Just double the coupling time compared to DNA.
